Before
the Blueprint for Tomorrow can be implemented, each element the
General Plan, CETAP and MSHCP will be available for public review
and comment.
This review process will be an opportunity for county residents
and property owners to express opinions related to each element. Your
opinion, as a property owner, will become part of the official record
and help guide the project team in shaping the final documents.
The Draft of the Countys new General Plan will be released for public
review and input beginning mid-April 2002.
Each
element will also go through a series of public hearings. The public hearings
on the General Plan will begin in the next few weeks. These hearings,
to be conducted by the Riverside County Planning Commission, will address
proposed land-use revisions in each of the Countys Area Plans, which
will be incorporated into the new General Plan. Later this summer, the
Riverside County Board of Supervisors will conduct its own public hearings
on the proposed General Plan.
Also, during this summer, the drafts of the MSHCP and CETAP environmental
documents will be released for public review. This will be followed by
public hearings on the MSHCP, conducted by the Riverside County Board
of Supervisors, and public hearings on the CETAP alternatives, conducted
by the Riverside County Transportation Commission.

on the public review process, visit the FAQ section
