Youth
How can young people participate in the planning and future of our community?
"The opinion of Riverside youth is important to the project. They are the future to come at a very exciting time when technology and growth are apparent. They are the leaders of the next generation." --- Riverside County Supervisor, Tom Mullen

Youth Commission to participate in RCIP

The Riverside County Youth Commission is a group of young people who are involved in community affairs throughout the County. The Commission was launched in 1998 by Riverside County Board of Supervisors.

The Five Youth Commissioners are appointed by the County Board of Supervisors to represent five County Supervisorial districts.

Meetings are held year round except for summer. All of the members of the Commission attend a weekend retreat in August where they are introduced to the Commission's issues and procedures.

The five Commissioners are guided by County legislative staff and Interns. The Commission reviews active issues in Riverside County, as well as, specific issues directed by the County Board of Supervisors.

For more information about getting involved with the Youth Commission, call Supervisor John Tavaglione's Office at (909) 955-1020.
